Our Trainers

Our Trainers are all certified through independent certification associations and by Fitness Together.
They are all respectful and committed to their clients' success.

Although most of our clients do meet with the same trainer when they come in for their sessions, it is
important to understand that our trainers work as a team to provide you with excellent customer service,
flexible scheduling when you need it, while always focusing on your goals

pride in helping clients achieve their health and fitness goals.

"I really enjoy what I do.  Having a successful business and knowing clients needs
are met is one thing, but actually helping clients get into the best shape of their
lives, that is amazing!"

Dawn Miner, Fitness Consultant
Shari Orlando, Fitness Consultant

Shari joined Fitness Together after earning a Bachelor’s degree from Fitchburg
State College. Her degree is in Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in
Fitness Management.  She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

She enters local 5K races and enjoys rollerblading in her free time.  Shari is
always up for a challenge and is fueled by competition.  A big personal
achievement was winning Fitchburg Sate College’s Strong Woman Competition
and setting some school records along the way.

Why did she become a personal trainer?  “I have always had a passion for health
and fitness - I wanted to have big muscles ever since I was a little girl!  I want to
share that passion with others.”

Dawn Miner, Fitness Consultant

Dawn has been a personal trainer since 1998.  She has earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in Physical Education and Sports Management from SUNY
Cortland and a Masters degree in Athletic Administration from SUNY Brockport.
Dawn is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National
Strength and Conditioning Association.

Although she enjoys working with clients from all fitness backgrounds, her training
specialties include distance running, triathlon training, swimming, and other sport
specific training areas.

Dawn became a personal trainer to educate people about health and fitness.  She
enjoys helping people work through all the information out there to determine
what is best for their individual needs.  She also enjoys the reward of seeing her
clients reach their goals.

An avid sport participant, Dawn was a collegiate swimmer, completed 7 marathons
and competed in the Lake Placid Ironman race in 2006.
Heather Sargent, Fitness Consultant
Heather Sargent, Fitness Consultant

Heather attended Merrimack College and the New England Institute of Art earning
a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and Digital Audio Production.
She is certified through the National Association of Body Fitness as a Personal
Trainer and Nutritional Analyst.

As an athlete herself, she spent a lot of time working with her own training
program.  That interest spilled over into a desire to help others.  She really
enjoys working with her clients’ strength programs and motivating them to achieve
their goals.

Heather was a member of the soccer and softball teams at Merrimack College
and she coached softball at Wheaton College for two years.  In addition to her
work with Fitness Together, Heather still works to develop conditioning and skill
programs for young athletes.
Samantha Dexter, Fitness Consultant
Samantha Dexter, Fitness Consultant

Samantha earned a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Massachusetts
Amherst in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice in 2005 and is especially proud of
the three years she served our country as a member of the Army National
Guard.  She is a Certified Personal Trainer through The National Academy of
Sports Medicine (NASM).

Though she just started personal training in 2007, she is no stranger to physical
conditioning.  Samantha has been an ice hockey goaltender in high school,
college and now recreationally and participates in softball in the summer months.

Samantha was always interested in fitness and athletics and wanted a job where
she could be creative and active.  Ultimately, she decided to become a personal
trainer because she had a strong desire to help people achieve a better quality
of life through physical activity.  She is inspired every time she composes a
unique exercise routine that really fits the needs of a client.
